Background
RAPOLITICS has teamed up with Danish Center for Culture and Development and Images Youth for a number of years. In 2014, we welcomed raptivists from South-Sudan to Denmark. In 2015, we highlighted issues of censorship and freedom of expression with the help of Syrian raptivists. It was a really good experience for everybody involved. In 2016 we welcomed Refugees of Rap to Denmark yet again.
Project Info
Refugees of Rap visited Denmark in the fall of 2016, co-facilitating a series of rap-workshops in schools and institutions all around the country with coaches from RAPOLITICS. The purpose of the project was to adress issues of censorship and freedom of expression through a focus on rap music and an emphasis on the situation of Syrian artists and musicians. The workshops was conducted in September/October 2016.
