RAPOLITICS Bokra (‘tomorrow’ in Arabic) is all about providing youth In the Middle East with a safe and creative space where they can negotiate new ideas and articulate their dreams and ambitions for the future – individually and collectively – and empowering youth to reflect on their own role in the development of their local communities by promoting civic engagement. RAPOLITICS will empower 30 rappers from the region to work as rap coaches and facilitate activities in their local communities, including 5 Playground-workshops, 80 two-days workshops, a series of spin-off activities and a hip hop festival in Jordan. The adolescents and youth participating in the project will record hip hop tracks as a part of the workshops following RAPOLITICS' discussion-reflection-expression approach. Please contact us for more information about the project: info@rapolitics.org
